Steve and Dustin from Stranger things - Artworks and Rant

Once again, I'm back with more Stranger Things artwork and more rant, and this time I'm focusing on the most iconic duo to ever come out of Hawkins: Steve Harrington and Dustin Henderson.Isn't it funny how a character can completely win you over? I'll be the first to admit it—like most people, I absolutely hated Steve in Season 1. He fit the classic "popular jock" mold and made some pretty questionable choices. But then, in later seasons, he didn't just grow on me; he became one of my absolute favorites. In fact, he's now one of the only characters in the series I genuinely relate to. Think about it: he's just a regular guy trying to figure his life out. He stumbles, he makes mistakes, he takes a job at a video store, and he ends up as an unlikely babysitter for a bunch of nerdy kids. He doesn't have superpowers or a genius-level IQ; he just has a baseball bat and a big heart. He feels more like a real, relatable human than almost anyone else o...

About Tatsumaki and Fubuki

A few posts ago, I shared my thoughts on Genos from One-Punch Man. It’s funny how a supporting character can be so important, and his screen time isn’t even that much less than Saitama's sometimes. It just goes to show how a good series isn't all about the protagonist. In this post, I want to shift focus and talk about two other characters who are absolutely vital to the story. What's their connection? They're sisters. Yep, I'm talking about the psychic duo, Fubuki and Tatsumaki, also known as the Blizzard Sisters. I have to admit, the first time I saw Tatsumaki (or Tornado of Terror as the heroes call her) in the One-Punch Man anime, I thought she was a kid. Her small stature and that face is deceiving! Despite her having a pretty annoying and arrogant personality, especially in her conversations with Saitama where she constantly looks down on him, I found myself oddly liking her from the start. There was just something about her. But it was when I started reading One-Punch Man manga that I started to like her even more. The story really peels back her layers. While she's officially ranked as the S-Class Hero Number 2, and is undeniably a monster in terms of power, at her core, she's also just a human with a deep-seated fear. Her entire world revolves around one thing: protecting her little sister, Fubuki, from any and all harm, even if her methods are seriously flawed.

As for Fubuki (the Blizzard of Hell), my feelings did a complete 180. When she was first introduced, I honestly hated her. I really can't stand characters who are too full of themselves and try to force others, which is exactly what she tried to do with Saitama. But as I kept watching the anime, she slowly grew on me. I started to feel a real sense of pity for her. She's constantly struggling to step out of her older sister's enormous shadow. When I found out she was Tatsumaki's sister, it all clicked—the similar color schemes in their outfits, the psychic abilities—it made perfect sense. When her past was finally revealed, her entire behavior started making sense, too.

Character Study

The truth is, both characters' current personalities are almost entirely shaped by their tragic past. Their own parents sold them off as children to a secret laboratory for money. How are you supposed to learn to trust anyone after a betrayal like that? This tragic event is the engine that drives Tatsumaki. She is determined to become so strong that she will never, ever need to rely on anyone else ever again, and she believes that the only way to keep Fubuki safe is to control her and let her protect her, ignoring what she actually wants. Because of her trauma, she dislikes and distrusts most people. But in her desperate attempt to protect Fubuki, she ends up coming across as cold, controlling, and like she doesn't care about her sister's own dreams. Fubuki feels that way too. She doesn't know how much her sister loves her.
Unintentionally, Tatsumaki ends up hurting the very person she wants to save—a sister who just wants to be seen, loved, and acknowledged for her own efforts. It's a deeply sad but also beautiful and complex relationship. One sister has a massive superiority complex, the other battles a deep-seated inferiority complex. I'm sure that as the story progresses, they will both change, start acting more like their true selves, and finally realize the truth about each other's feelings. And let's be real, Saitama will probably be the one to accidentally make that happen with one of his blunt comments!

About the artworks

On this page, you will find two extremely high-resolution artworks I made of Fubuki and Tatsumaki. For Fubuki's artwork, I built her portrait using hundreds of small love emojis (❤️). For Tatsumaki's artwork, I used countless small tornado emojis (🌪️) because of her name. I think both of them came out looking really good. Make sure you click on the images and zoom in to see all the cool emoji details—that's the best part!

You are completely free to download these One-Punch Man wallpapers and use them for your personal use, like a phone or desktop background. Thanks so much for reading!
