Steve and Dustin from Stranger things - Artworks and Rant

Once again, I'm back with more Stranger Things artwork and more rant, and this time I'm focusing on the most iconic duo to ever come out of Hawkins: Steve Harrington and Dustin Henderson.Isn't it funny how a character can completely win you over? I'll be the first to admit it—like most people, I absolutely hated Steve in Season 1. He fit the classic "popular jock" mold and made some pretty questionable choices. But then, in later seasons, he didn't just grow on me; he became one of my absolute favorites. In fact, he's now one of the only characters in the series I genuinely relate to. Think about it: he's just a regular guy trying to figure his life out. He stumbles, he makes mistakes, he takes a job at a video store, and he ends up as an unlikely babysitter for a bunch of nerdy kids. He doesn't have superpowers or a genius-level IQ; he just has a baseball bat and a big heart. He feels more like a real, relatable human than almost anyone else o...

About Stranger things

Stranger Things, a series created by The Duffer Brothers, isn't just a show; it's a global cultural moment. It's one of the most popular and loved series on television, and I'm no exception—I absolutely love it as well. After season 1, people waited for each season and binge watched it immediately. It's one of those rare gems that has been consistently great since its very first season, and for many fans, it just got better and more ambitious with each new episode. Sure, some critics might find the later seasons a bit dragged out, but most people actually appreciate the deeper dive into the characters and the lore of Hawkins. And there are some really solid reasons why this show has such a dedicated fanbase.

Why people love it!

The masterstroke of Stranger Things is how it perfectly blends supernatural horror with a heavy dose of 80s nostalgia. The soundtrack, the fashion, the pop culture references—it all creates an incredibly immersive world. I wasn't even born in the 80s, but watching the show makes me feel a weird sense of nostalgia for that era. Color grading, soundtracks, locations... everything is so good. I actually love it a lot. Beyond the vibe, the core elements of the show are top-tier: the casting is spot-on, all characters feel real and complex, you will understand them and their actions even if you don't support them. The direction is extremely good and cinematic. It’s no wonder it became a Netflix original series that defined a generation of streaming.

At the heart of this entire epic is its main protagonist, Eleven, brought to life by Millie Bobby Brown. She plays a young girl with incredible psychic powers (telepathy and telekinesis) who escapes from a sinister government lab. The show begins with the search for a missing boy, Will Byers, and quickly spirals into a thrilling adventure involving a monstrous creature from a parallel dimension known as the Upside Down. Eleven becomes the key to fighting these threats, often teaming up with a group of kids, including Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, and Lucas Sinclair.

What's remarkable is how the show introduces these insane concepts—secret labs, other dimensions, and psychic warfare—yet it never feels too over-the-top or out of place. The emotional core, the friendship between the characters, always remains believable and grounded. I think that's because the plot never loses its grip on the viewers. You will always want to see what happens next.

Honestly, as a kid, I always dreamed of having superpowers just like Eleven. Who didn't want to be able to move things with their mind or be the hero who saves their friends with an incredible, unseen force? I also wanted to go on epic adventures with my own group of friends, solving mysteries and fighting otherworldly dangers. That sense of childhood wonder and wish-fulfillment is exactly why I, and I think millions of others, connect with this series on such a deep level. But I neither had super powers nor friends... Jk.

About the artwork

On this page, you'll find two extremely high-resolution digital artworks I created to celebrate this iconic character. One portrait captures Eleven from Stranger Things Season 3, with her more rebellious style and determined look. The other is inspired by her epic, climactic battle in Stranger Things Season 4, showcasing her as the powerful warrior she has become. I think they turned out quite good. It was quite hard to capture the details since the initial images weren't of high resolution. Also, the colors were all over the place and the final result was about to look too saturated and warm... I had to tone down on the saturation and increase the exposure. It looked so much better than before.

Don't forget to click on the images and zoom in to see all the intricate details—the texture and shading are what make these pieces special. You can download them using the links below. I highly recommend downloading the original, full-resolution versions; if you download a compressed file, the fine details will look blurry, and you'll lose the impact.

Well, that's it from my side. Thanks so much for reading, and I am also waiting for season 5... Actually, I can't wait.
